South Yorkshire Funding Advice Bureau Information Sheets Religious organisations Last updated March 2008 SYFAB works with local voluntary and community groups to help them find funding. We are not able to work with groups promoting religion. For faith- based projects with wider community benefit, SYFAB may be able to offer some funding help and support. This Information Sheet will signpost you to organisations, publications and information sources that do advise on purely faith based work. In most cases you will have to do your own research to find specific funding related information. Many charitable trusts that SYFAB keep information on, avoid funding work that promotes religion. Where the project has a more wide reaching role in the community you could get in contact with the Information Service to check if you are eligible for a funding search. An example of this may be an inter-faith project. National organisations that offer funding or funding information Faithworks is a Christian movement of individuals, churches and organisations set up to serve the needs of their local communities.
