New Funding News from SYFAB website

As part of our work towards a new online funding information service, we have launched a new website giving updates on funding opportunities for community and voluntary organisations called Funding News from SYFAB. Over the next few months, you can access regular funding news updates through that website rather than here. This page will still updates on forthcoming funding-related events and useful news about SYFAB.

Forthcoming Events


SYFAB Training Course - Funding and Fundraising for Community and Voluntary Groups

SYFAB's 8 session course, Funding and Fundraising for Voluntary and Community Groups will be running at least seven times across South Yorkshire in 2008. The course is for members of small voluntary or community organisations in South Yorkshire. You should be directly involved in fundraising for your group and have a piece of fundraising work in mind that you would like to do as part of the course. There is a £20 fee.

Course dates

Courses will be running from April until June in central Barnsley, Doncaster and Sheffield. Our autumn courses will run from September to December in the Dearne Valley, north Doncaster, Rotherham town centre and the Burngreave area of Sheffield.

Spring courses:

Barnsley
Tuesday mornings (10.00 - 1.00) from 29 April to 1 July
Venue: Barnsley Central Library, Shambles St, Barnsley

Sheffield
Wednesday mornings (10.00 - 1.00) from 30 April to 25 June
Venue: The Workstation, 15 Paternoster Row, Sheffield

Doncaster
Thursday mornings (10.00 - 1.00) from 1 May to 26 June.
Venue: Doncaster Museum and Art Gallery

Autumn courses:

Rotherham
Wednesday mornings (10.00 - 1.00) from 1 October to 26 November
Venue: RAIN Building, Eastwood Lane, Rotherham

Details of our other Autumn courses in Mexborough, Burngreave in Sheffield and Thorne in Doncaster will be posted on here as soon as the dates and venues are confirmed.

To find our whether you are eligible for the course and whether the course is suitable for you, you can work through a checklist on the training page of the SYFAB website, or in the course booking information (click here for Spring or click here for Autumn).

On the course booking form, we will ask you for information about your organisation and your fundraising needs. Please give as much detail as possible, and contact us if you need any help with filling in the booking form.
